Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Albert Avenue is the mature, inner city neighborhood of Alberta Avenue. Alberta Avenue is a pre-WWII neighborhood, with much of the neighborhood’s development having occured during WWI era. It was once home to the Norwood Foundry as well as the Great Western Garment Company.
Alberta Avenue has it’s own community newspaper called the Rat Creek Press. To celebrate Alberta Avenue’s rich past, the Rat Creek Press recently launched the Alberta Avenue History Project. The Carrot Coffee House is found in Alberta Avenue and is a community gathering place.
