The neighbourhood of Fraser is found in north east Edmonton. The neighbourhood is centred around a community hall and an elementary school. The neighbourhood was named after John Fraser, who was one of the first homesteaders in the neighbourhood. A total of 62.6% of Fraser homes were built during the 1980s. 19.4% were built during the 1970s and 18% were constructed during the 1990s. According to the 2005 municipal census, the most common housing type is the single-family dwelling, which make up 59% of the neighbourhood homes. Another 15% are apartments, 13% are duplexes and 13% are row houses. A total of 77% of Fraser homes are owner-occupied.
