Glrovenor Edmonton Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Grovenor is found in west Edmonton. Originally, it was named Westgrove, and one of the professional buildings on 142 Street still uses Westgrove as a name. The very first homes in Grovenor were built in 1907, with other homes in the neighbourhood dating back to the 1910s. According to the 2001 federal census, 18.2% of Grovenor homes were built by the end of the second World War. The majority of all Grovenor homes were constructed by 1980. The most common type of home in Grovenor is the single-family dwelling, which make up 88% of all homes in the neighbourhood. Duplexes make up another 9% and row houses make up 3% of Grovenor homes. A total of 77% of Grovenor residences are owner-occupied.
