The neighbourhood of La Perle is located in west Edmonton. The first 26% of homes in La Perle were built between 1970 and 1980, according to the 2001 federal census. Another 62.9% of the homes in La Perle were built between 1980 and 1990. By the mid-nineties, all the homes in La Perle were complete. Single-family homes are the most common type of home in La Perle, according to the 2005 municipal census, and make up 49% of the homes in La Perle.
