Rossdale Edmonton Real Estate
The neighborhood of Rossdale is located just south of downtown Edmonton in the river valley area. Rossdale has great access to downtown, the UofA, and the river valley. Almost a tenth of the homes in Rossdale were built before the end of the second World War, according to the 2001 federal census, and a fifth of the homes were built between the end of the second World War and 1970. Another tenth of the homes in Rossdale were built in the 1970s, and the majority of the homes in the neighborhood were built during the next 2 decades: a quarter were built during the 1980s and 37% were built during the 1990s. According to the 2005 municipal census, the most common type of homes in Rossdale are apartments and apartment-style condominiums, which make up 51% of the homes in the neighborhood. Another 35% of the homes in Rossdale are single family homes, 10% are row houses, and 4% are duplexes. A total of 62% of the homes in Rossdale are owner-occupied.
