Woodlands St. Albert Real Estate
Woodlands is a subdivision in the thriving city of St. Albert. St. Albert is notable for its Indigenous heritage, being home to the Michif Institute which was founded by former Senator Thelma Chalifoux. The Michif Institute is dedicated to the preservation and spread of knowledge of St. Albert’s Métis background. Many Métis artifacts can be found in the Musée Héritage Museum. Numerous street signs in St. Albert’s downtown core have not only English and French, but also Cree written on them, as a tribute to St. Albert’s multiracial and multi-linguistic origins. A current project of the city is to replace English-only signs with other multilingual signs when the English-only versions become worn down.
