The neighbourhood of Kiniski Gardens is located in south east Edmonton in the Mill Woods area. The neighbourhood is named after Julia Kiniski who was a local reform politician in the 1960s. The first 7% of homes in Kiniski Gardens were built during the 1970s. The majority of homes in Kiniski Gardens were built in the 1980s, when 41% of the homes in the neighbourhood were built. Most of the rest of the homes in Kiniski Gardens were built in the 1990s. Single-family homes are the most common type of home in Kiniski Gardens, and account for 95% of all the homes in the neighbourhood. The other 5% is comprised of low-rise apartments and duplexes.
