Rio Terrace Edmonton Real Estate
The neighborhood of Rio Terrace is in located in west Edmonton, situated between 149th Street and 156th Street just south of the Whitemud Drive. The North Saskatchewan River Valley runs along the neighborhood’s south side. The first homes in Rio Terrace were built during the 1950s, but most of the homes in the neighborhood were built between 1960 and 1970. There is one school in Rio Terrace, operated by the Edmonton Public School Board: Rio Terrace Elementary School. According to the 2005 municipal census, all of the homes in Rio Terrace were single family homes, of which, a total of 97% were owner-occupied.
