The neighborhood of Rosslyn is located in northwest Edmonton, situated between 113 A Street and 97th Street just south of 137th Avenue. 97th Street gives residences of the neighborhood easy access to downtown, NAIT, and CFB Edmonton. The majority of the homes in Rosslyn were built between 1946 and 1980, according to the 2001 federal census, with more than half of the homes built between 1960 and 1969. According to the 2005 municipal census, the most common type of home in Rosslyn are single family homes, which make up three quarters of the homes in the neighborhood. Another 20% is made up of low-rise apartments and duplexes, with the last 5% being row houses. A total of 74% of the homes in Rosslyn are owner-occupied. There are 3 schools in the neighborhood, two of which operate under the Edmonton Public School Board: Scott Robertson Elementary School and Rosslyn Junior High School, and the third is Choice For Change Junior High School.
